I'm just a girl with too much imagination. I dream up a lot but I hardly ever write it down.

Here are the exceptions. Hope you enjoy!

How did I get into this fandom?

I've watched TOS and liked it as a kid, but how they maimed the German version, it's just a crime. You wouldn't believe what they did to Amok Time.

Only in 2004 the worst mistakes were eliminated and we got the episodes uncut... There were reruns, and all of a sudden, the stories made sense!... well... kind of. We're talking about the 60ies after all! I watched them all again, comparing them to the original English version and got really drawn in.

Then there was the new movie and I was lost.

I still love both, TOS and ST XI, but for fanfiction I prefer ST XI because I can't get enough of 'new' Spock. Zach Quinto is made of awesome, isn't he?

Actually in TOS my favorite character is Bones (BAMF-Bones!) while in ST XI it's definitely Spock!

I am so in love with this one and all its sequels, not just the one you posted here. I keep rereading it even though I'm usually not much into threesomes.

It's so brilliantly written, so heartbreaking in places and even after reading parts one to five several times over, I still can't decide exaclty how I feel for McCoy...

Thank you so much for sharing.

Beautifully written, very quiet, very intense and their first time is handled wonderfully. Spock is very Vulcan and I even loved the meld (I don't, usually) becuase it's very subtext. Very well done.

And this one made me grin so hard:

"Chess, 2100 my quarters. Don't bother bringing the board."

Great novel, gripping, awesome plot and terrific original characters. Wow, just incredible.

I don't read much gen, but here I wouldn't have missed the K/S for the fantastic plot. As there is some, all the better.

Another fact that shows how good this story is: Usually, constantly changing POV's put me off a story immediately. Here, it was just mildly annoying and gladly overlooked for the overall genius of the story.

It's like everyone else keeps telling you: this is awesome, epic, simply incredible. I love it so much!

And it has the most beautiful... I won't call it a sex scene because it's SO much more... I've ever read.

I've printed the whole thing on real paper and after I had finished reading, I lent it to a friend. She's taking her time with it as she doesn't usually read that much in English (non-native-speakers, she and I) but she's making an exception because this is just SO good. Now I can't wait to get it back as I want to reread it like RIGHT NOW!

Ship of Dreams by LonaMyLona Rated: ADULT (NC-17) starstarstarstarstar [Reviews - 198]
Summary: WOO HOO! THIS FIC IS FINISHED!

In the wake of The Enterprise Incident, Kirk and Spock are asked to undertake an even more dangerous mission: bringing down an arm of the Orion Syndicate. This mission requires them to go deeply undercover for an undetermined length of time, Jim as a slave trader, Spock as a slave. Only a few key higher-ups in the Federation are in on the plot. In order to get the entire galaxy to believe they're serious, Jim sells Spock into slavery and goes rogue as a slave runner with the core of his crew, who are all hunted as outlaws by the rest of the Federation.

Before they part, Spock establishes a link between his mind and Jim's, so at least they won't be alone in their own personal hells, and can coordinate together to bring down the Syndicate. Nevertheless, their new roles push them both to their limits. On their quest for personal and intergalactic freedom, the crew discovers just what they are capable of, and Kirk and Spock learn how much they mean to each other.

This was intense and so very, very good. Awesome work, thank you so much for sharing!

I especially liked how you didn't spare either of them a confrontation with their own dark side. Haven't seen that all too often!

There was only one thing I didn't like: It was all those spoilers in the Author's Notes and Warnings. It was such a pity that I always knew or suspected what was going to happen in the next chapter. I don't think you need warnings for every chapter, just one at the beginning for the whole story would do. Especially as NO ONE would or could EVER stop reading this story after getting through the first few chapters, no matter what the warnings are!

Author's Response:

Oh my gosh, I just saw this review after all this time. My email apparently thinks the archive is spam now. Grrr. Well, I am so sorry for not responding until now.

THANK YOU for your awesome feedback! I love that you loved it ;) Reviews like yours still make my day.

And you're not the only one who's mentioned there are too many warnings. So sorry about that. I'll be more sparing next time. I think with my "be sensitive" goggles on, I got a little overzealous with it.

This was simply beautyful. I loved the characterisations. I loved how Spock needed time but how he doesn't bring up bonding or anything, we see that in too many stories.

In my opinion, there are also too many stories around where they just jump each other. This is so much more believable and so brilliantly written.

Thanks for sharing!

This is in response to a challenge posted on here by Fugitive. They got it from a Live Journal or something, it's called Always and Never Touching and Touched.

I had read Fugitive's response to the challenge and just couldn't put all of the naughty little ideas for it out of my mind.

Basically, the challenge is to write the hottest sex scene you can think of between Jim and Spock without them actually touching.

I drew some inspiration from an old Ricky Martin video (points to you if you figure out which one) and a scene from the movie 40 Days and 40 Nights.

I hope you like it. Please review, they're great inspiration.
