This is my first review for this site and, in fact, your story was the catalyst for my registering on this site. This story moved me to tears. Unexpectedly entirely moved. I have gotten quite good at not sobbing weakly over characters but even now as I type I feel years sting at my eyes as I think of this story. I could tell what would happen (for the most part; their adopted daughter and the tiny kiss at the end were unexpected but brilliant) but that spoiled nothing for me. Though I cried and my heart ached for Jim, I would never take back reading this story and will read it again and again in the future. Not because I am a masochist (which I am not, though getting into K/S probably counts for something as they are so sad. But, there I'd always hope for the future, yes?) but because this story was so wonderful. They don't write stories like Kirk and Spock's anymore, but I believe you've captured their relationship nicely (there is a better word than 'nice' I am sure, I simply cannot think of it right now). Thank you, an infinite amount.
