I'm new to this group, and I'd like to say how much I enjoyed your essay. Killa, that was beautiful! Your character insight is intriguing and your quotes are spot-on. For me, the Kirk-Spock relationship (with and without the sexual component) is the most important key element to TOS (wonderfully completed by McCoy) and it's what makes TOS so special. It always makes me happy to learn that there are so many like-minded people who perceive the depth of their friendship in the same manner, and who do care about it as much as I do.

Thanks, Jenna - wonderful story! It is tender and sexy at the same time, and that 'reciprocal episodes of intercourse' scene is just perfect. I like the story being written from McCoy's pov, and it has a fine and spot-on kind of humor to it.

Jenna, this is another wonderful story of yours. You just "get" these guys. The friendship, the tender intimacy - I love it when our Jim is allowed to show his vulnerability, his conflicts, which make him such an extraordinary commander. And Spock is there to comfort him, but at the same time he's becoming a more confident person, at ease with himself, feeling much more comfortable with his own conflict, his dualism, than ever before. I think this is the secret of their unique friendship, their once-in-a-lifetime chemistry. Thanks Jenna.
