Cute and funny. I do love a story that can put a smile on my face.
The first time I read this was ten-odd years ago and I loved it then. Unfortunately, I forgot the title and who wrote it. I'm glad to have stumbled across it again, as it has stayed with me as one of the most impactful pieces of K/S I've read. I've actually been looking for this story for years now because I wanted to revisit it.
I sometimes read the random story of the moment on the home page. I'm glad I clicked on this. Crisp, succinct, in-character, this was a nice little one-shot.

Sometimes I go to the homepage and take a look at the random story that's been suggested. Today, it showed me this. I like the sense of awe and wonder that Kirk experiences because it seems authentic to the character.

I'm glad that there was an alternative where I can finish my doorstopper. I've put three years into this and I honestly don't know where the hell else I could post it other than AO3. I'd hate to leave my readers high and dry. I know how irritating it is to get into something only for it to turn into a dead wood story.

This was the story of the moment when I popped by the main page this morning. It's sweet and sort-of spicy little romp. Nice.
There is a common misconception when it comes to one person in James T.Kirk’s life. But without this person and their influence on his life since he entered it, things could have been drastically different and not in a good way. Jim has to clear it up as he waits for the moment his life will change once more on one of the happiest days of his life.
To be honest, it's nice to see a different take on Frank.

This started off as a nice straightforward vignette, a homage to the three-soul relationship at the heart of Star Trek.
But, that Leonard McCoy, he's a tricky devil: a few lines into Chapter 3, he took over the story and told me he had another tale to tell entirely. So, hold on to your hats because, in many ways, I'm as much a passenger in this as you are!
Only Bones knows where we're going, now. And how far we go, well that all depends on how much he wants to tell you about who he really is... "what he's seen, where he's been, what he's done".

It seems this tale is only halfway through and the protagonists are now ready to tell "what happened next"... So I've reverted the story from Complete to Work In Progress! Here we go again.
My interest has certainly piqued. I'm interested to see where this will go.

While surveying an alien planet, Spock’s mind is invaded by a hostile telepath with a sinister plan, and thwarting it will seriously complicate his friendship with Jim.
So very creepy! Gave me the shivers. I'm glad though that everything worked out in the end.
Captain Kirk have to deal with a heinous crime committed on a pair of Cadets on Starbase 12 in the wake of a hate based incident aboard the Enterprise.
I originally started writing this as a tribute to those we lost in the attack on the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando. But in the day and age of the Brock Turner sentencing and the #metoo movement there were just lots of other things that deserve attention.
Love conquers hate. Period.

I don't use MS Word (save for an ancient version of Word for Mac 2003) because of the issues that plague it, but my best guess for your issue is that you need to turn off the Auto Format functions. I've poked around at a few articles and this one seemed the most sensical to me. Good luck!
