Issues of the Heart by CMM Rated: ADULT (NC-17) starstarstarstarstar [Reviews - 404]
Summary:

DONE!!!!!

This is in response to KrazyKat2009's Issues of the Heart challenge:

Summary: [AU]. Jim Kirk never joined StarFleet. He moved to California to escape his home in which his mother ignored him and his stepfather used him as a scapegoat for his frustration. Instead of becoming a notorious womanizer, Jim has chosen to lead a quiet life of solitude, living in an apartment complex, fixing people's computers and appliances for money. He keeps to himself, unless required to be around others in which he is unfailingly polite and respectful... but he uses his charm as a wall to keep people from getting to close to him. All of that changes when Jim goes to a StarFleet academic event to accompany a friend who goes to school there (not McCoy- who Jim can be introduced to later at author's discretion). Jim happens upon Spock, and cannot help himself from striking up a conversation after having read some of Spock's research in journals. Spock becomes intrigued of the intelligent young man, and wants to know more about him... but getting through Jim's barriers may prove to be quite difficult... K/S romance. No sex needed, but preferred. Would like emphasis on the evolution of their emotional/romantic relationship. BONUS POINTS: Please, PLEASE would like for Jim to be inexperienced in being intimate sexually with anyone (has issues with getting close to anyone enough for sex due to childhood neglect), but nonetheless is becoming intensely attracted to Spock. MEGA BONUS POINTS: Spock becomes patient, but determined, to win Jim's affections... and eventually leads to a lot of affectionate touching, comforting "snuggling", and maybe even some fondling. RULES? Have FUN.

The wounded Jim of this story always gets to me, but I love how Spock's patience snd caring brings him out of his shell. And I adore Knickknack, though I'm sorry he didn't make it to space with them. I'm sure he'll soon have all those Vulcans at the Embassy slipping him treats on the sly.

Shadows of the Night by CMM Rated: All Audiences starstarstarstarstar [Reviews - 16]
Summary:

This is a response to Tech_Duinn's Next to Normal challenge, which is:

My college roommate was a total musical theatre dork, and she introduced me to the fabulous show Next to Normal. The show is about a family that is torn apart by the (bi polar) mother's delusion that her son (who died in childhood) is alive and well. One of the numbers (which is absolutely heartbreaking) is "He's Not Here."

He's not here
He's not here
Love, I know you know
Do you feel he's still real?
Love, it's just not so
Why is it you still believe?
Do you dream or do you grieve?
You've got to let him go
He's been dead 16 years
No, my love, he's not here.

The challenge is this: Spock or Kirk died, and afterwards the partner who survived began hallucinating that his lover is alive.

Requirements:

McCoy or Uhura needs to be the one “singing” to Kirk or Spock respectively.

I’d like a bit of mystery/suspense thrown in as to how Kirk/Spock died, and why the surviving party reacted the way they did. I’m really not a “their love was so pure it just tore him to pieces to lose his lover” kind of gal. Give me a plausible reason for Kirk/Spock’s psychosis. (Maybe they already had mental/emotional problems before the death/murder and this drove them over the edge? They witnessed the death/murder? Spock transferred his katra into Kirk and it drove him batty, even after it was removed?)

I’d also like some form of unrequited love on Bones or Uhura’s part. (i.e if you’d like to have them in a quasi-relationship with Kirk/Spock, I’d like some good: “he’ll never love me as much as he did ___” angst)

Finally, Kirk/Spock CANNOT under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES come back to life. I don’t care how the story ends. You can have Kirk/Spock snap out of the hallucinations and get counseling, kill themselves, go into a catatonic state- anything, as long as the death of their SO is permanent!

I believe I have fulfilled all of the requirements, including working the song lyrics into the dialogue (Hint: read McCoy's lines). Since I ALWAYS do a happy ending, this story does have one--sort of. This is pretty different from anything I've ever done, so feedback would be particularly helpful. Enjoy.

Okay, I'm one of those that actually admits that I read death fics, although I'm picky about them and I have to be in the mood. I read the previous reviews and others were saying they didn't expect it. Man, as soon as I realized what was going on with Jim, I totally expected it, and I loved seeing them on Vulcan with the baby sehlats and planning on visiting Amanda.

The loss of the Enterprise and killing off everyone, though? Total left field! Well done! Jim wasn't there to figure out how to meet the Organian challenge, so they all died. Yep, I can see that happening.

An Unexpected Journey by CMM Rated: ADULT (NC-17) starstarstarstarstar [Reviews - 545]
Summary:

Now done!

This is in response to Kittygirl's Jim the Single Parent challenge:

This idea has been floating around in my brain for a while so I figured I'd issue a challenge to see what people came up with. This does have the potential to be rather long.

It goes like this:

While Spock is still with Uhura, he ends up having a drunken fling with Kirk, who is completely in love with him. Kirk somehow ends up pregnant with his child(it doesn't matter how you make this come about, either meddling aliens or an auxiliary uterus idea that keeps floating around or that Jim just can). When Spock is finally informed of the conception he decides that, since he and Uhura cannot have children together for whatever reason (completely your idea why), Jim's child be the perfect candidate instead and decides to take the child and whisk it away New Vulcan after it is born to raise it with Uhura. He believes Jim to illogical and reckless to raise a child. Enlisting McCoy's help, who thinks that its better for the child to be raised by Vulcan's, the trio keep a close eye on Jim in case he gets wind of the plan. When Jim realizes what Spock is planning, he puts in his resignation in Starfleet and leaves for parts unknown. Some years pass (more than 2 less than 7) and Jim returns as a personal favor to Chris Pike to command the Enterprise again with a little surprise in tow. Now Spock has to deal with a child that does not like him for the pain he caused its Mother(the kid has to call Jim mom)and the complete distrust of Jim with his child.

You may use any name you wish for the child, boy or girl. How Jim finds out the plot is entirely up to you. Uhura could tell him in a fit of anger at him, or he could overhear them talking or McCoy tells him in a fit of Conscience.

I would like it in the Abrams Universe, because I think a mixture of Jim and Spock would look so cute with Blue eyes. However this does come with a few stipulations.

1. Under no circumstances does Jim have any communication with the trio of evildoers until he returns to the Enterprise(I've always wanted to use that word). In his mind Bones, Spock, and Uhura betrayed him. Anyone else is completely welcome.

2. Sarek is the doting Grandpa... He can know he has a grandchild and is kept updated on the child's growth. I think it would be an awesome way to re-introduce Jim back to the Enterprise by having him and child picked up from Sarek's home...

And 3...

HAS TO HAVE HAPPY ENDING!

Since two of my other long pieces are coming pretty close to the end, I decided it was time to reclaim my crown as queen of mpreg.

This is in response to Rowanlyn_Mirrim's Brought to School challenge:

Summary:
T
Someone gets the bright idea to start a school for very gifted and troubled human youth on Vulcan. Young James Kirk, after driving the car off the cliff, gets sent to be one of the first class of students who are all in the upper 99.999% of humans and have some sort of instability issues. Amanda ropes Spock into attending .

Things to Avoid;
The absolutely perfect Vulcan effect (All Vulcans are better at everything then humans... please no.)
Some how magically including the whole bridge crew in the school.
An Amanda who has no say in how her son is raised.
A Sarek who is a jerk to Amanda and Spock.

This will be Abrams with some AU elements. I will also 'tweak' the challenge slightly as my muse dictates. For exmaple, both Jim and Spock are 15 at the beginning of this fic.

Ahhhhh! I didn't realize this story was incomplete when I started it today, so it was. a shock when I got to the end of this chapter and there was no link for the next chapter!

I like royalty AUs when done well, and this is marvelous - diplomacy, treaties, palace intigue, spies, betrayals, loyalties, and an arranged marriage that works out.

I am not currently looking at when your last update was, but I suspect it was a while ago. I do hope you continue this at some point, if you can, as I have so many questions, like: what was the bigger picture Sulu tried to tell them about? Will Uhura end up helping them out, or is she also in FitzWalters' scheme? Will we see Uncle Vanya again? Will George get the comeuppance he so richly deserves? Is FitzWalters the only problem, or is there even more intrigue at the palace?

Enquiring minds want to know!

Never Let Me Go by CMM Rated: ADULT (NC-17) starstarstarstarstar [Reviews - 88]
Summary:

Oh, crap; I did it again. I need to quit browsing the Challenges page. I picked up this challnege of the same name, which goes like this:

Jim Kirk never went to Starfleet, instead he finds himself in San Francisco trying to earn enough to live, but *gasp* he's pregnant with a child he has no means of supporting.

Whether the conception of the child was consensual or not can be up to you, but the point is that though Jim WANTS to keep it, he is unable.

Cue the wealthy diplomat’s son Spock of Vulcan and his gorgeous lover Nyota Uhura who are looking to adopt.

I would like to see a slowly developing relationship between James and Spock as the Vulcan slowly realizes that Jim is desperate to keep the child but unable. Would like to see lots of hurt/comfort as they slowly gain trust and later love.

I will "tweak" this some, because I always do. Get ready for Juno in Space, folks!

I like this twist. It's not a bad thing for Spock to have some competition when it comes to Jim's attention. I hope Jim and S'Laren have at least a little bit of a romance. Spock should have to work for it for once.

I don't know what everyone else asked for, but I hope Nyota decides to back off for herself, rather than just being a bitch. I hope she realizes that being a consort, which it sounds like she'd pretty much be, is really not what she wants in life, and why she's really so unhappy that she's getting drunk on the transport. An ending scene more like Captain Von Trapp and the Baroness, where she basically releases him towards what he really wants, might be nice, with her going back to Starfleet to be who she really wants to be.

I've been bingeing much of your work the last few days. I haven't been leaving comments much (bad me), partly because I'm new to this archive and not sure of the protocol, and unlike AO3, the reviews/comments aren't necessarily easily viewed.

I just wanted to say how very much I've been enjoying your work. I love how you've imagined these two - whether they're being loving or pining or just idiots. I also love your secondary characters. I've read your comments on health issues and the loss of your mom. I'm so very sorry for your loss. Hope you're feeling better.

Summary:

This is sort of different. It is a WIP, BUT each piece uploaded can be read as a stand-alone. They will also be fairly short, so I should be able to update every day or two, since my life is such right now that I don't have the time I'd like for my longer works, but I don't want my fans forgetting me.

These are letters between Jim and Spock as they contemplate becoming a couple. Some will be sweet; some will be funny; some wll be sad. Some will be all of the above, plus sexy.

Summary:

This story was inspired by my attendance at KiScon 2017 held on the 50th Anniversary of the airing of “Amok Time”.  The conference made me rethink the events surrounding Spock’s pon farr and whether I had unfairly judged T’Pring. On the plane trip home, I realized I had a story to tell that would explain why T’Pring chose the Challenge and why she chose Captain Kirk as her Champion.

The story follows Spock and T'Pring's relationship beginning with their betrothal. It also explores Spock's relationship with Kirk and T'Pring's with Stonn.
