Finally, I have gotten around to joining this wonderful site!

Star Trek is a recent, but all-consuming obsession of mine (but only TOS - sorry not sorry Next Gen, but any shows/movies that squish Captain Kirk with a bridge *A BRIDGE* will never be high on my To Watch List.) As a younger fan, I watched the Reboot movies before anything else, and went in with the understanding that K/S was a thing, albeit a thing-that-probably-wouldn't-be-as-slashy-as-people-say.

And yeah, on first impressions, I was right. The feels *killed me* of course, and I could completely see where the slashers were coming from, but more importantly, I saw a universe I could be part of.

Then I watched TOS. THE SLASH BACK-HANDED ME SO HARD IN THE FACE THAT I FELL IN A PUDDLE OF MY OWN SQUEE!

So long story short: Here I am. I love writing, fandoms, being a giant goof-ballish nerd with pathetically stereotypical black-rimmed glasses... and K/S. Especially K/S.

Awesome, I loved that you made sure to draw attention to Spock correcting himself from 'I love you' to 'I can love you.' I always thought that was a very important distinction, not necessarily that Spock does love Leila (even though I do think he had quite strong feelings for her) but that he can now freely express feeling.

It made me laugh to think of Spock and Kirk making full use of the ship while they were alone up there, even though I don't think they were together until TMP. (I just personally don't see either Spock or Kirk being the type to be in a relationship and then also act upon 'the rare sidecar infatuation' as you put it. XD)
