This is basically Frozen K/S'ed. Jim Kirk is living on Vulcan when he runs into a lost Vulcan child looking for his runaway half-brother. Together, they have to fight to regain Sybok's bravery and sanity after Sybok nearly kills Spock as a child during an unintentionally powerful mind-meld.

Sybok does not have freezing powers, but he does have an exceptionally strong psyche and it's strong enough for him to be able to kill without touching anyone. But he doesn't want abilities that strong, and he's afraid that he's a danger to everyone around him. He's especially nervous that he'll hurt his brother, so he locks himself away where he'll be able to keep his brother safe from him. It becomes worse when he realizes that he can't control his powers.

Kirk/Spock based off the fairy tale Snow White. 

The command crew of the Enterprise beam down to a planet where the value of every person (their rank in society) is based off beauty. The Queen instantly sees that Spock is more beautiful than she is, and Spock ends up eating the poison apple.
