Yes, I've always thought that Spock's mind must be starving for telepathic contact after the link with T'Pring breaks.  Glad to see someone else thinking about these things.  :)

Author's Response:

Yes, I've often wondered what it would be like to have a link ripped from your mind, even if it was a link that you perhaps did not cherish.  To me, it must leave a hole in your mind, craving to be filled.

Thanks for commenting.

I loved this!  I've decided that I shall go through life with 'rose-colored K/S glasses'.  Thank you so much for writing.  <3  - Cate

Author's Response:

Thanks for commenting.  I do like things to work our for our boys in fics that I write.  Looking forward to reading your latest (which I notice you've been posting) when I get a moment.  You would think I should have time, locked in my home now for 7 weeks because of COVID 19, but it has been crazy with work.  At least I can work with my job, many cannot.

This was therapeutic. I like how Jim and Spock's conversation took unexpected turns into talking about the things leading up to understanding Spock's needs. I also appreciate how, for such a vulnerable and revelatory conversation, it doesn't rush into the start of a romantic relationship. It stays focused on the healing that needed to happen first and establishes that they both want a deeper bond, which, we know they'll eventually get to. Overall, very well thought out and earns a place in my favorites :)

Author's Response:

Thank you so much.  I wondered if people would feel a let down because there was no romance as we are accustomed to reading.  However, I thought it would be out of place.  Jim was really there to help Spock (and to find out what was lacking that he would drawn to stay in the past).  Happy to know my intent was understood.

A lovely story with spot-on characterization and warm ambience.  Beautifully written!  Looking forward to more from you!

Author's Response:

Thank you. I always feel a lot of angst regarding whether the characters as I see them and try and write them feel correct to others.  Lovely to hear you think the characterizations worked.

I like this.  The tone and pace is nice and gives a new perspective to that episode that I hadn't considered.  Would really like to see more if you are so inclined.

Author's Response:

Thanks.  I've thought about carrying on, but for the time being I decided to at least get this posted.  I've often wondere what does Spock really know about Jim (and vice versa) as a result of those melds.  I never thought Spock had time to learn enough in the melds we saw prior to Janice Lester meld for Jim to declare that Spock knows his mind better than anyone ....
