Wow! I want to ask for more but know that this is a completed story from a zine before the film The Search for Spock. This is beautifully written. I do however wonder why McCoy would be alright during the beginning of this story or not be a bit "off" so to speak considering the mind touch before entering the chamber, but again this was before the next film in the series and we didn't know of the katra transfer. Anyway I'm sorry for the queries since this was written in 1983 but they just kept creeping up as I read. I for one and very glad that Jim got to hold Spock and tell him everything he had felt as he watched his beloved Vulcan on the other side of the glass. And the love making was well rushed but who could blame them! It was also very tender and the assurance and reassurance during was saccharine. Love this, thank you for putting this story up on the Archive!!! LLAP my friend

I am enjoying these older stories, some of which I have never read. This is one whih is new to me although I remember that period well. I'm not sure that it is possible for younger readers to fully understand what it was like for us to see Spock die and think that was the end of him. Back then, I wish I had read this story. It would have given me some hope during a dark period of my life. I liked that Spock wasn't quite whole until Jim arrived. They always complete one another so beautifully as this lovely story illustrates. Thanks!
