Love this story of how Jim was going to make this a really special Christmas for Spock but Uhura just had to mess that up. I do hope that you will add a second chapter to not only prove to Uhura how stupid she is but to allow Spock to apologize to him and then they can have the rest of Christmas together to sit and talk and maybe even realize just what they mean to each other then just being friends.

Author's Response:

Maybe I will if inspiration strikes.  If I don't then it will have to be up to you dear reader to decide how the story ends in your mind.

I loved the careful thought that went into the gifts.

But what I would love to see is Nyota turn up see the gifts and realise what a heel she has been and deliver the apology to Jim after a staff meeting. Spock arrives  just at the end to hear Jim expressing that he does have feelings but would never overstep friendship that Spock's friendship  is worth far more to him than she has credited him with.

But how is Spock going to undo the damage he did? I leave that up to you.

Spock

Author's Response:

Lol. if I was to continue the piece, i honestly probably wouldn't focus on Nyota.  But it's an interesting idea.

I'm not sure how Spock would fix the damage.  I suspect it would start awkwardly with him stating, "I believe I have made an error Captain."  But don't quote me.  Spock tends to be just as rebellious as Jim is when I'm writing him.  (Also know as they take the story and run away with it...)

I would LOVE to read how that apology went.

I do not care for that bitchy version of Uhura, but it was useful for the stroyline.

I find that Jim's presents are very well chosen and am glad that Spock gathered the feeling behind it.

Author's Response:

Thank you.  Maybe I'll write the apology in the future. Uhura really isn't bitchy.  Over protective and judgmental yes, but not really bitchy.  (Jim jumps to conclusions too.) But bitchy is a good plot device.

I loved making up Jim's presents for Spock, mostly because I wanted to limit him to cheaper, but still important items.  My Jim isn't very financially well off.
