Thanks. Not sure, though, why the review came into my email the other day when it was written months ago.
Thanks for the other reviews, too. They are much appreciated.

As Orypeci wrote - but they DIE!
Your story is very moving, and all the more so since we know what happens next - decades of adventures, discoveries, death and rebirth, togetherness and being torn apart. But this moment stands in time, as a beacon of hope against all there is to come; something to be treasured.
That's one of the biggest appeal of ST, to me - the long, bittersweet lives they lead. You hit that nail right on the head.
*sniffles a little*
Thanks so much. I've always enjoyed exploring the emotional contradictions in Spock, the vulnerability he tries so hard to conceal. I'm sure that's why his character has had such appeal over the years. We can all relate to that isolation and conflict in some way.

[Melts into a puddle of goo.] This always cheers me up. Until I think ,"Well, damn! Spock's gonna DIE!" Then I think, " he does come back to life." but then, "BUT THEN KIRK DIES." Then I get all confused and decided to just go with the happy denial state. Yes, I realize I'm not as mature as the other reviewers.
