What a different take on Jim's experience with his memories of Tarsus. It was a nice change seeing him deal with the trauma and having to be on that planet again. I loved how we got to see flashbacks of his grandfather Tiberius and what he did for Jim & his family. The sweaters were a nice touch and I adored Sam's personality as the caring older brother.
Thank you so much for this detailed comment! It means a lot to me!

What a wonderful story this is! I'm impressed with the expert way you balanced the light and the dark and with the psychological sophistication. It's a rare author who handles serious PTSD as well as you do here, showing its seriousness and its devastating impact without descending into mawkishness or melodrama.
A thousand kudos for this excellent work!
My goodness, thank you so so much! This comment really means so very much to me. I try really, really hard to keep things believable as well as enjoyable, so I deeply appreciate that feedback.

This is an amazing idea for the prompt which could have been seriously cheesy. I think you have caipry red the idea of a journey in progress and the bittersweetness of loss overall a fic which is strong and without an ounce of cloying goo that would not have done justice to the prompt.
Thank you! I'm always trying to avoid cloying goo and am never sure about my success rate, so I appreciate that very much. Thank for reading and for this thoughtful comment!
