Sarek was a little emotional.
But he was also when Vulcan was destroid. And I belive he really have understand what he have lost and hurt him in a deep level. And Spock too. And he seems to be a little bit more open for emotions as before. So - I found your letter from Sarek good and right. :-)

Only one thing: I often read that Vulcand dont wear rings because..
But thats not true. Sarek wore a big ring in Star Trek II and later in the next generation.... :-)
