What a wonderful story! The argument and cultural misunderstand (and as part of that, the personal misunderstanding) between Kirk and Spock was very believable. It's so easy to step of each others' toes sometimes, without meaning to hurt - but it does. Kirk saying "I think you're being willfully ignorant" rang very true. I like that they worked out a compromise to that, even though it wasn't an ideal one - the most important thing is that they were trying to make it work.
And I liked the fact that they got married "in city hall" if you will. Simple and pragmatic - it suits them.
Well done, and kudos.

Lovely story. Characterizations were spot on and the story was emotionally compelling. I also love "domestic, established K/S". I adore seeing outside the honeymoon phase, where life gets real and still the love and quiet moments of romantic indulgence are there. I look forward to reading more of your work. :)

Awwwwww :) :) :)
I loved this story - it was great. Domestic, established relationship K/S is my fave and this didn't disappoint. It was realistic as well as being great escapism and the characters were spot on. Also the cadets made me laugh with all their talk of reporting sticky buttons...
My one complaint (which isn't even a complaint!) was that there was no sex - but there was so much emotional depth that it wasn't needed and anyway, some people just aren't comfortable with it and that's fine :)
Thanks for posting!
