Yep two rebels finding each other-it had to be. Great little story.
Noticed a few small details; two stood to for me, twice you used the word damp when I think you mean dam and the way this story is written you can use authority in the singular rather than authorities as a plural-it's one of those funny little English quirks. I hope you don't mind having that feedback-say so if you do. I love your writing.
