Love this part: Jim Kirk did not have a close association with the concept of humility, but the intensity of such devotion directed solely at him humbled him every time. He had done nothing to deserve such a gift, but he was determined to be worthy of it. If it took him the rest of his life, he would earn the right.
That's so how he should feel! :-)

I swear I've read this story at least a dozen times! It was the fifth K/S story I'd ever read four years back when I first discovered K/S and the archive...blistering, searing, way too hot and way, way too delightful!
