That was a lovely story, very nicely done.

I especially enjoyed this line: Kirk knew the Vulcan loved him as well, measure for measure, their journey into emotion and desire a joint venture, as they did everything else - in unison, as a team.  So many fan-written stories have one or the other of them angsting about whether or not their love is returned or whether the other will hate him for turning their friendship romantic, and I always think, "These guys are bigger than that."  Thanks for making them as big as they are.

Oh she is right ladyguenievre...again so well done.  Erin Tooley is going to be a name I will remember and will grin happily also.  So PERFECT..that they kiss in front of the eyes of the crew.  You are a gifted story teller.  There is nothing else I can add to this.  Never, ever stop creating your magic.  Thanks so much.

Such good boys, the two of them...but when they decide it's time to flaunt the rules, they sure don't do things halfway!! :-D I absolutely love how they had that first kiss right in full view of everyone, a deliberate public display, so unable to wait and so sure of their mutual love that they feel no qualms declaring it to the face of the world. It's too bad it took another close call for them to decide they'd regret it forever if they never lived their love the the fullest when it was possible, but then, in real life too you often need a good crisis to realize the value of what you might lose. The tension is the beginning was very well done, a delicious, slow torture, and the plot was classic Trek. Thanks for posting this story!

Oh, and I am glad to know you are the one behind the name Erin Tooley!! It will help me a lot when I track down your stories in print zines *grin*.
