I'm afraid I'm totally on Spock's side in this situation.  You have Kirk acting as if he doesn't know that his lover is a Vulcan or doesn't know what that means.  I felt really bad for Spock, that Kirk was treating him so badly.

I really enjoyed this look at the aftermath of Spock's night with Zarabeth.  Amazingly I just took at stab at a story myself that launches after that episode.  I can totally see how frustrated Spock would be come at Kirk for his seeming "manipulation" and Kirk with Spock for a failure to show trust in their relationship but not sharing.  It really highlights the importance of communication in a relationship.

Nice spackle on the episode and the kind of rough patch they're going through is very real. Thank you for bringing this story here.

So Kirk was just nosy and he manipulated Spock until he told.  It seemed to me more of a case of, McCoy knew something he didn't about Spock and he was jealous. He knew that Spock loved him and he should have accepted Spock's traits.  As Spock said, he knew how he was when they got together.   Typical.  I hate when people do this and I know so many who do.

Great story.  I enjoyed it.  Even if Kirk's actions angered me.

I do love the realism in this one: we writers/readers like to have our Jim and Spock have a perfect flawless relationship but relatioships rarely are like that.

Really wonderful story.

Very cool, a realistic story indeed.  This is how it is, sometimes, in all relationships I think -- sometimes the words are very clear, sometimes they're clear as mud.  Both want to understand but don't, not quite.  And in the end the love bridge the gap.  Nice!
