The holographic Spock loves Jim with all his heart, and it breaks his heart when he realizes Jim can never love him in return. The real Spock can't understand why Jim has chosen to use Spock's personal information in such a way. He also doesn't understand love. Is it ethical to model a hologram after a real person? Are real life love and holographic love the same?

This essay functions as a direct refutation to Unicorn's essay, 'Why k/s is not canon to me (and why I don't mind :-)'.
