Originally my piece Wish You Were Here was going to be titled I'll See You In My Dreams but while I was writing Wish You Were Here my fiancé had on that particularly AWESOME Pink Floyd album and I decided that Wish You Were Here was the more fitting title.
This is a small piece that takes place between Spock's death in the Wrath of Khan and The Search for Spock. While Kirk struggles to cope with the loss of Spock a transporter malfunction results in an unexpected visitor. Sort of a what if but on a bigger scale. Hope you all enjoy it!

This is an AU of sorts about death.  What if Spock died, not on the Enterprise, but in Sick Bay after an away mission?  This is quite sad.  Don't read if major character death is an issue.

What if Spock had stayed with Jim after the end of the five year mission, rather than going to Gol? What if they had bonded? What if Spock had died shortly after? What then?
