Spock is given a message from his counterpart; it's a hologram of the other Jim sent on Spock's birthday. Will it convince Spock to stay in Starfleet?

Jim is injured, and Spock, his bond-mate, is with him in his recovery.

Kirk has been infected by spores which are causing him to exhibit hyperactive behaviour. Spock is driven mad trying to watch over him, whilst McCoy attempts to find a remedy. The fall out leads both men to re evaluate their feelings and despite a little misunderstanding finally get it together.

Jim is haunted by the memories Spock Prime accidentally transferred to him on Delta Vega. They meet in order to rid Jim of his ghosts, but find something altogether more fascinating.

Waking up early is a norm for Spock, even on days delegated to relaxation or shore leave. Normally he would rise from bed promptly upon awakening and go about his morning routine. A light meditation, a small breakfast, business as usual. Except this time Spock is not alone in bed, and the thought of disturbing his sleeping companion is one that he wavers on.

When the Enterprise stops for shore leave on an alien planet, their hosts go to some lengths to re-create a traditional Earth holiday. But the food turns out to have some peculiar side-effects, and in retrospect, Jim probably should have known better than to let Spock be the one to help him ride them out.
