The real me? Not important. What is important? A great story, of course. So many great stories here - hope to provide a good one or two - but I'm a total novice so please leave feedback so I can improve.

The day before his birthday, Jim felt a little down. But on his birthday ...
This story is 'It Should Have Been Me' from Spock's POV. I think it stands on its own, but if you want to read both, I suggest reading 'It Should Have Been Me' first (Jim's POV). In both stories, in a nutshell, Jim sees Spock with someone else, and that creates a certain realization.
Somehow, Jim had never thought of Spock as a sexual being. Or what it might mean should his perception be wrong. Until now.

Jim's had a bad day - Spock was right as usual, and he feels the need to let some frustrations out.
I think these work as both TOS and Abrams Universe, but tell me if you disagree.

On an emergent recreational planet, a new park has just been built around the creation of genetically engineered Terran dinosaurs. All is going well as the park prepares to open when tragedy strikes and one of its workers is killed by a velociraptor. The founder of the park, Cyrano Jones, requests the Enterprise and specifically its Captain and First Officer to come to the park and ensure that it is safe. Also joining them is Ambassador Fox, who is concerned now with the viability of Starfleet's latest investment. When they reach the planet, all of them are amazed to discover that Jones has managed to create ACTUAL dinosaurs, but no one is without their doubts.Hold onto your phasers, it's going to be a TOS/Jurassic Park Mash Up! Each participant will be adding a new chapter every Wednesday. I hope you all will give it a shot and enjoy the story. :)

The Captain has a little problem - in this story he's more than a few steps behind his first officer ... but he catches up (grin).
I don't own the characters - just like to take them out to play with once in a while. All honors to those who've gone before!
Some readers may think this needs to be AU rather than TOS, if so let me know. I personally think the warnings are excessive but thought I'd be careful. This is my first time posting so apologies ahead of time for any errors. I'll try to fix any that get pointed out to me.

I am completely unable to find words that are sufficient to convey my thanks to my fantastic betas AKO and Bedwench. They both saved me from poor word choices, convoluted sentences, and many other little errors that were simply invisible to me after so many reads. I must mention that AKO also rescued me from making many errors due to my ignorance of proper military behavior and procedure – and graciously forgave my often ungracious comments about the aforementioned behavior.
One last acknowledgement; the concept of the ‘Outlast’ is not my own; it appeared in the novel Battlestations! by Diane Carey and I apologize in advance if I presented it in any way differently than she (or Paramount or Pocket books) may have liked. I do not know Diane, but I have read this book many, many times and my reference to it is intended only as homage. It’s a wonderful book.
K – enough of that, yeah? This starts out solely with Spock’s POV, but Jim’s comes in later. I hope you enjoy and PLEASE leave feedback – that means what’s good and what’s not. I get lots of great ideas from comments – so don’t be shy, righto?!
So, Jim makes a holoSpock, and tells it to strip. Yep, complely unredeemable. Um, one other thing, this is a prequel to "It's Not Usually Like This". I'm also posting a new chapter to that one.
