Summary: Jim is kidnapped from the bridge in full sight of the crew, who have a hard time believing their eyes. They track the captain to a nearby planet. Of course, Spock beams down to search. He is joined by a reindeer with a shiny nose and an elf with aspirations other than toymaking. Set between ST:V The Final Frontier and ST:VI The Undiscovered Country. Written for ksadvent 2011.

Star Trek fan since I was about 10 years old, in the 70s. I had heard about K/S, but didn't go looking at it until after I'd accidentally come across some Mulder/Skinner slash, and my wee brain went "HEY REMEMBER THAT KIRK/SPOCK STUFF YOU READ ABOUT? WHY AREN'T YOU LOOKING FOR THAT?"
