Then suddenly she becomes the victim of someone else's love of power.

Professionally, Nyota is at the top years before she expected it. Personally, she's still dodging calls from her father and doesn’t do anything harder than a one night stand, even if a part of her really wants too. But unexpected circumstances are going to force her to deal with these issues head on.

Ever since he was young, Spock has been looking for that one person that would be everything to him. Secretly he desired a person who could be a lover, a brother, and a friend simultaneously. By age 25 by human standards he gave up the illogical "dream" of ever finding that one person who could understand him completely. Then he met Jim Kirk.

Summary: A mother and son story. Five times Winona Kirk told James everything was great/wonderful when it really wasn't and the one time it was true. Pairings in order that they occur: W/G, W/F, K/OC, K/C, K/S, and W/P
