An AU set not that long after Kirk and Spock's retirement from Starfleet, dealing with domestic abuse and violence.

The K/S will mainly be in flashback, and the main characters are Kirk and Mark Grayson (Spock's cousin), with a bit of Bones on the side.

This piece does have a kind of plot progession, but is mainly meant to be impressionistic.

Please watch out for warnings (which will appear over the course of the story)  - I don't want to upset anyone (unless you're looking to be upset, in which case come on in!).

Also, can I just make it clear that I don't have an agenda for writing this.  I just thought it would be an interesting story.

The first five year mission is winding down, and Spock has heard about Kirk's upcoming marriage to Lori Ciana.  Dismayed at his lack of control where Kirk is concerned and particularly this final kick in the teeth, he makes a decision to leave for Gol.

The author's long-awaited (kind of!) exposition on one of the most controversial elements of vulcan biology...  Is it merely the stuff of myth?  Could it be real?  But even more importantly, is it logical?

Because Kirk's tummy bulge is sexy!

Every so often on the Enterprise-A, there is something called a 'Cultural Immersion Evening', where various foods, exhibitions, and activities from different cultures are laid on for the crew to experience.  This time it is the Vindaloovian culture being examined. Captain Kirk and Captain Spock have retired to their joint quarters, to continue their immersion in private.

This is Fat Kirk/Spock by the way.  It's a bit kinky, but not awfully so.

The latest Cultural Immersion Evening on the Enterprise-A is held in honour of the Ffaw'nickaiterons.  This species is highly sexed, and most of the activities on offer are of a sexually explicit nature.  With varying levels of subtlety, the crew are attempting to wheedle Kirk and Spock into giving a demonstration of certain activities. Annoyed at the attention, the two Captains adjourn to their quarters for a private performance.

Warning: this story is MAD.

Epilogue to 'A Painful Discovery', set after The Wrath of Khan.  Well, actually two epilogues - a very sad one and a less sad one.  I wrote the very sad one ages ago before I'd finished the story proper, but changed my mind about it, and I've just written the less sad one now.  I hummed and haa-ed, then decided to post both.  Take your pick!
