I'm a 20 year old Canadian girl working on a honours major in psychology who was first exposed to Star Trek when my father forced me to watch all six of the original movies in a single sitting. (It can be done but I don't advise it). I then went to see Star Trek 2009 and got interested in the fandom where I promptly fell in love with K/S and made them my new OTP beause I love the chemistry and the possibility that comes with their relationship.

This was the first Star Trek fic I read and it is still my favourite TOS story of all the ones I've read since then (and I've read a lot!) Everything is just so superb, from the build up to the character voices to the crescendo where you finally gives them what they need. I love this story because it's almost a perfect blend of old Trek and New Trek, and everything is so in character. The tension was perfect, understated and subtle, and both of them simply got it without having to say it. That was so hauntingly beautiful and macabre. It simply grabbed hold of my heart and by the end it had ripped it out of my chest (but in the best way possible). I don't think I've ever read an AU with Mirror Spock Prime instead of regular Spock Prime and I loved the idea (and the fic). A truly excellent job.

So, I love this idea. Like epic love it. Dexter is my absolute favourite tv show, and K/S is my absolute favorite pairing, and so I'm almost jealous that this idea didn't occur to me. Spock as Dexter ought to be a real thrill (does that mean Jim's Rita?) and I'm looking forward to reading more of it, because your characterization is somehow very apt (and awesome)!

So, I'm still loving this! I got a very "Bynie" over protective brother vibe from Jim in this chapter (the whole Jamie thing and the hands pulling him away and Spock repressing while Jim didn't thing), but I freely admit that said vibe could just be a side affect of being a complete Dexter nerd. But if my vibe is correct then things could get really interesting because Bryan was the Ice Truck Killer and Jim with a "condition" could be awesome to read. But as previously mentioned that could just be me trying to fit it into the Dexter frame. Anyways this chapter was awesome and I know whatever you do for the rest will be brilliant.

This is an excellent Generations-fix/Reboot fic. The quality of your writing is absolutely top notch, and the story felt very plausible and in character (for both sets of the boys) all the way through out.
