I've been a K/S fan since K/S began, which pretty much dates me. I'm proud to have been a fan of ST since the original series originally aired. Spock has always been my favorite, but it was the relationship with Kirk that hooked me.
I haven't written any K/S, but love reading it, and love editing. So if you need a Beta-reader, please let me know. I would love to help out. I'm retired, so I'm fairly prompt in my responses.

Very satisfying -- it all flowed beautifully, nothing seemed contrived or forced. I loved the inclusion of the Sarpeidon incident as a source of enlightenment for Spock. Makes much more sense than the original script! Thanks!
TOS A/U novella. Six months after being taken prisoner and raped by a Vulcan captain, Kirk finds that same Vulcan is now being assigned as his first officer when peace between Vulcan and Earth is declared. Originally published in the print fanzine Beyond Dreams 7 (2004), edited by Jenna Sinclair.
This is an exceptionally well written piece of fiction of any genre, but especially fanfic! Not once was the forward motion of the story interrupted by awkward or confusing phrasing or extraneous scenes that force the reader to pause and try to figure out what the author meant by it. All the elements dovetail so beautifully that at the end the reader can't imagine it happening any other way! As others have noted, the summary was a bit off-putting, which only made the result that much more satisfying. I'm looking forward to reading more of your work, and thank you for writing this!

Oh wow! Totally unexpected ending and I loved it! I was confused about which Spock was doing what for a while there, but I see that was your intention, and it worked! Now my only question is, When can we expect the sequel? You know, the one where Kirk is tried for Spock Prime's murder or thrown into the looney bin as criminally insane! Waiting, waiting, waiting!!!
Pike wasn't the only guy recruiting; he was just complete crap at it. Good for some- not so hot for Starfleet.

Written for the Star Trek XI Kink Meme prompt found here: "Spock has been stuck alone on some alien planet that needs a Federation representative to be present for a long, stalled-out series of negotiations. I don't want any horrible trauma, just loneliness and frustration and culture-shock. The people on this planet are as far from Vulcan as possible -- everything is everyone's business, emotions are on display everywhere, everyone wants to hug everyone else all the time, etc. There is almost no vegetarian food suitable for a Vulcan diet. And Spock misses the Enterprise. Bonus points for him realizing that somehow the ship has become like a home/family for him, because I am a sucker for stuff like that."

Kirk has an allergic reaction that causes Bones to make some drastic changes to the captain's dietary restrictions, and appoints someone to monitor what Kirk eats for a while.

After spending quite some time in Spock's company, Jim Kirk is determined to disprove some myths about the superiority of Vulcans. He later discovers that sometimes trying to prove a myth wrong is not as fun when confronted with the evidence to do so.

Very engrossing and heart breaking, beautifully told. It was refreshing (in a sad way) to see Jim & Spock so far out of their familiar world. The only difficulty I had was imagining what could have happened that could put them where they are, but that's another story (maybe). I hope there is a sequel to show both Spock's healing and the healing of Jim & Spock's relationship. Thank you so much for this story!

Yes, the story premise is one that closely examines sadness and the unexpected vicissitudes of life, especially such an exciting and rewarding life the kind of which Jim and Spock enjoy during their heydey as captain and first officer of the Enterprise...the locus of their downfall is carefully explained, thoroughly gone over...Jim relates the tale to his Romulan friend, former customer, it is all told their in explosive clarity...there is a sequel planned, one which will reveal even more detail and more explosive secrets about their relationship and their bond and what really lead up to their taking vows of espousal. The sequel will not be released, however, until some time later next year...in the meantime, I'm so glad you enjoyed this story and took the time to really get into it and offer us a review! Jim is a slave, and he must satisfy his master. If he doesn't he will have to face his penalty. But, what is worse, the lashes, the chained studded collar, or the wrath of the Vulcan he must also please..

The Enterprise is called home by Admiral Archer, and the crew is granted an unexpected shore leave. A miscommunication and good intentions lead to Jim, Bones, and Spock sharing a living space for the duration of their time on Earth. When some relationships come to a close, others begin to blossom.
Follows "Initial Impressions" and is Fourth in the Metamorphosis to T'hy'la Series.
