I read this story years ago the first time. And now I rediscovered it with a little help from a new friend. I loved it then and I loved it now. I never got the end where Kirk dumped Spock for ... actually nothing. Intensive, erotic and fascinating. :-)

Author's Response:

Ahaha, the reason Kirk dumped Spock is simple: this was my first-ever fanfic story, and I hadn't even read any fanfic to speak of when I wrote it. I thought it should end unhappily, and therefore it did, even though it makes little emotional sense! Sorry about that. I tried to fix it in the sequel. :)

Thanks for reading, and for taking the time to comment!

That was a rather sad story. On one hand I wanted to give up because I couldn't stand this misery between the two anymore and on the other hand I couldn't read quick enough to see what happens next.

Very good story.

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for sticking with it. I used to write such sad stories back then!

That story reads like a sequel to "Alone", what I wrote. My story was about before Kirk died. This one is about what Spock does after Kirk had died. Sad, very emotional, very intense, absolute believable. I loved it, alithough it is so sad.

That was probably the best story I have ever read. It was very emotional and had a deep meaning for me. I love the style of writing, the seriousness you went on the story. I love it when someone takes the characters serious and doesn't make fun of them, leaves them the pride, especially Spock, shows the relationship with respect for all parties.

I actually don't write reviews because I don't know what to say, but this one really stirred my heart. I still have the pictures of the old men before my inner eye. I wrote a story about Kirk dying, what got good feedback, but nothing can top this one. I love it and I am glad that I found it.

Thank you for that.

Spock suffers a head injury in a shuttlecraft accident and reveals more than Kirk or McCoy expected. Originally published in the print fanzine “Warped Space” XX, October 1976. "Shelter" was the third K/S story ever published. I wrote it specifically to support the K/S faction in Trek fandom, which was coming under fire at the time.

Very interesting story. You very well explained the reasons behind their self-destructive behaviour ... and brought it to a Happy End. :-)

Thank you much, Shi.  Yes, I wrote this tale precisely in order to deal with some contradictions I saw in Our Heroes' characters, and hopefully settle them.  I'm glad to see that my conclusions were...(Heheheh!)...logical.

The Kiss by Amanda Warrington Rated: ADULT (NC-17) starstarstarstarhalf-star [Reviews - 19]

Responding is one thing, acceptance of it, quite another... This story is a re-edited version of the one which appeared in T’hy’la 15 in 1994.

Just finished the story. God how good. And erotica. For me Spock is clearly only interested in Kirk and always have been. For him there is no other. Kirk on the other hand was always torn between Spock and Women. I must congratulate you how well you got this situation described. I just love your stories in general and this one in particular. Well done, Amanda.

Like someone already said, I also found Morvallis most annoying and disturbing. Kirk spoke out of my heart when he threatened that idiot and I hoped till the end that Dr. would get over that hate and become a valuable member of society, but the only what he experiences was loneliness. And he deserved it.

Also funny that he "accused" Kirk and Spock of being an item. But here they are just friends. Thank god. I didn't want to see them putting oil into the already burning fire of hatred.

Great story.

I really loved this. And it sounds quite logical, if you allow me that little word play, that he left after that. Spock must have been so embarrassed that he couldn't look into Kirks eye anymore. That story also fitts the awkward moment in the first film when they met again... Love it, just love it.
