I slept in this morning and was having a Sunday morning similar to the one you described the boys having.  Beginning to read in the bed, I then got dressed, put a load of wash in the machine, and sat down with my liquid breakfast to finish.  I thoroughly enjoyed this story.  The open affection that Spock isplays with Jim in the privacy of their own home is sweet and tender, and I can easily see our beloved Vulcan being the one to keep his t'hy'la on task on a gloomy day  The surprise?  It gave me shivers as I thought about what almost have been their end.  Thanks for the gift of this story on an otherwise quiet uneventful Sunday morning.
