Well done, Raven. I know how you've struggled to write these last months. It's good to see a sweet story by you on the Archive once more!
(hugs) dear friend.
Ashaya! I am STILL struggling to write. I've had issues for about a year now with writing. Just too much going on in real life, and up in my mental-emotional headspace. It's been rough that way. Been trying to work on a fic (a oneshot) for months now...Can't believe it is taking me this long. But anyway, enough about that. Thank you for your feedback, my friend! This fic (while an emotional one) was very enjoyable to write. Thanks for reading! ~ RK

We see the movie but we do not always understand the significance. You captured in this fic the various feelings and concerns dealing with cerebral damage for a life partner. You paint in this a brilliant picture of struggling Kirk. It is sensitive but strong rather than. Maudling
Thank you so much, Soral! Kirk is definitely struggling with the aftermath of everything from events surrounding Khan and getting Spock back to Vulcan. Ever since the idea for this story happened, it's a little harder to watch The Voyage Home and think of it strictly as a light-hearted comedy (though it is still the lightest and most funny of the films). It really has a sad tone to it for me now, especially in the way Kirk looks at, thinks about, and talks to/with Spock - and the awkward tension between them. The unfamiliarity. Thank you for commenting! So glad that you found Kirk's struggle realistic in this. I had been worried it wasn't quite right. Thank you for the encouragement. ~ RK
