Well... My sister is living with my mom and a friend of my mom's lately and has kind of just turned into a royal bitch ever since. Disrespecting Mom and what-not. I keep telling Mom that my sister isn't too big to bend over her knee and spank, but I guess I'm going to have to do it myself once I'm down there. LOL. Mom's been bitching to me about it. That's about the long and short of it.

My sister is one of those people. She will be 39 this year on her second marriage and does not want kids at all. I on the other hand have 3, so it's just different choices and what you really want in life. Having kids is not something to be taken lightly and alot of people who probably shouldn't have kids do have them anyway.

Yeah, basically, and like many career women, she's pulled in different directions. Plus, with so few Vulcans left, I'm sure she felt obligated to be fruitful, even if it wasn't really her original plan. I don't want her to be uncaring; I'm just trying to explore the issues of parenting and careers, which don't seem to work that well for a lot of people.

Aghhhh. I have such a love/hate relationship with this story! Its so well written and the plot is so good... I love Spock Prime and all, but in my mind I keep hoping that NuSpock will come to his senses and he and Jim can get together somehow. Call me crazy. Keep up the great work!

No, not in this story. The prompt was for Jim and Spock Prime to end up together, and that's what's happening. Go read "What I did for Love" if you want Jim and Spock together, or read Accidentally in Love as well.

I also found it kind of strange for Spock and Nyota just to give away their child, but I guess if they're more focused on their careers. Then when they're ready for the child to be with them, poor Jim and Selik and also Sybok might be heartbroken. But I guess if they live on Vafer-Tor it wouldn't be so bad.Love how Spock admits that he and Nyota trust Jim and Selik so much.

OMG, how did you manage it to delete the entire story? I'm just glad that you had a copy and could upload it again. And now that I've caught up with reading, I'll wait for the next chapters.
I have to say that I'm a bit amazed that Nyota & Spock would "give away" their child so easily, but well, Spock's a Vulcan and Uhura pretty much has her own views to everything, so that's just the way it is.
