I guess time travel really mucks up with psionic sense. Now what would happen with a slingshot around the sun there are at least two more episodes that deserve that treatment. Though definitely an alternative universe four Pon farr periods in as many years....
Maybe a first line could be Jim seeing a pattern but can he move from Pon Farr to permanent partner. Would work with a final time travel trip to San Fransisco and Jim putting his foot down no more Pon Farr without a permanent commitment.

Please continue I would like to see more to this story. I find it interesting that this takes place during the Guardian of Forever episoide. I would love to see how you make this work during the episoide and after when they get back. I really hope that you do contiune and that we will see and update to it soon.
