He wanted to ban his human half . I wrote once, his human half half was also Jim Kirk. (i believe in "Nir Var") Spock was so impressiv in this Movie. First Time i saw him i was a kid. Sorry if it sounds stereotype but is true - my gay uncle let me watch all the Episodes and he was the first who had the Movies on Video (VHS) it was not so easy these days, when the Series was aired on the other TV Channel was sports (what my father was watching of course. But with help from my uncle we/i could watch TOS. *lol*

Author's Response:

I am glad you had your uncle to watch Star Trek with. Those are surely great memories. Thanks for reading.

That moment

love this!  great insight on what must have been going through his mind.  Still we'll never really know why he left for Gol.  (pages of fan fiction later. . .)

I wish the movie had gone into that part more...but a book written by Gene is practically as canon as any movie.

Um...  In my TMP novelisation by Gene Roddenberry it says 'kaiidth', not 'kaiidith'...  Sorry, I'm so unbelievably anal about spelling and grammar but I thought you might want to know!

I do like the poem - it definitely captures and sums up this scene in the film really well!

Author's Response: Thank you ...for letting me know..and I looked at my novel for reference for pete's sake...I am so blind...I changed the title three times and thought all right I spelled it right.....and nope..wrong again...damn it.....thanks again for pointing it out...
