You won`t believe this, but I was thinking of updating, but I fell asleep. Thanks so much for checking this story out. This is when I wrote longer chapters, now I just can`t seem to continue the trend. It`s really driving me nuts. The thing is, the next chapter is with Sarek and Amanda, and I am having a hard time finding their voices. Wish me luck.

great chapter! Why can't Jim admit to himself how he feels? Even McCoy is willing to talk about it openly but Jim just can't deal with that... And Bones is probably right that if Jim jumps Spock then that could ruin everything. You're right - isn't life complicated...

Author's Response: Thanks my friend, for the kind review. I am thinking of writing a scene now with Amanda and Sarek. So, wish me luck in that direction....first time writing for them.

Your prose is your best medium, this story of. Restrained Jim acting with maturity is really interesting read. I especially like that Bones has not got Jim. Have got some idea where this may end and it's not good Look forward to update

Aaaaand I've got to the last chapter - oh noes! I'm glad that Jim didn't screw up and make Spock feel worse as I thought he might have done. But I must say, I am somewhat surprised with how frank their conversation was - I thought it would be more awkward than that! Then again, they are the best of friends...
One minor point of grammar: you can say either 'he himself had gone there often' or 'he himself went there often', but not 'he himself had went there often' - dunno whether that's just a typo or an honest mistake but you might want to change it :) I would say 'had gone', personally.
Well done - I'm loving this story! Glad I finally got round to reading it :)

Ahh, a very complex chapter. So many emotions, with different reasons for them and different motivations... And it's rather dark, all the stuff about Spock's childhood and particularly T'Pring. But also heartwarming, because Jim would do so much for his friendship with Spock - even though he feels hurt and betrayed he still loves him and cares about his predicament... Now, how is Spock going to cope with his nightmares et cetera? That is scary, how Jim's laugh has turned from kind happiness into twisted hatred...

Poor Jim and Spock. They both want some much to be together and have everything be simple for them, but it is never that easy. I love how you are portraying Spock in this. One can really get a feel for what he is going through. Dealing with something like this would be very hard on him. Great job I look forward to the next update.
