I honestly think this is one of your best efforts. I consider it a wonderful sequel to one of the episodes of the original series that I love more. Spock's quiet desperation, his endless longing, his poignant love for his t'hy'la are so intense that every time I read this I feel utterly overwhelmed. Ah, to be the object of such a devotion.. Jim definitely is a lucky guy. I confess that in some points here Spock seems truly disquieting to me.

And the ending line is pure, distilled genius.
