(ST:XI) Joanna is a plot device so rarely used. She's absolutely adorable, but so rarely shows up in a story. I, for one, would love to see a story where she is the catalyst in Kirk and Spock's relationship. (Perhaps she even aids Daddy in finding a lady friend (Sorry, Bones is very straight in my mind. Can be a creative OC or existing character.).) My major requirement is that there be a scene in which Jo toddles up to Spock one night and wants to know why he says he can't go home anymore. Somewhere in this scene, Joanna must give Spock a big hug and declare herself his friend because nobody should have to be alone.

Major bonus points and cuddles if this is a long story and Jo ends up staying on the Enterprise.

Super-Mega-Double-Bonus if there's a focus on how Spock and Jim complete each other and Jo knows all along that Spock is Jim's Prince Charming. I figure she's probably in the princess stage of life. And Jim is totally the damsel in distress.
