Spock works for Starfleet by using his telepathic abilities to dive into the culprit's mind. He's done that for years now - however, his most difficult case is only now beginning. It's been unceremoniously dropped into his lap by Admiral Pike and revolves all around the famous and young Captain Kirk.What exactly has happened in the Captain's rooms on the Enterprise? Why has there been found the body of a woman - literally torn to shreds? It'll be difficult to get information out of the Captain; and even more difficult to get them out of his staff, it seems. They're tightly knit and don't make things easy for the Vulcan.
However, Spock not only has to worry the mysterious case - he also needs to keep his wits about him in a world that just doesn't seem to have a place for him. And why - oh why - did he choose just now to fall in love?!

This story is supposed to run parallel to other stories - something that can help me get my mind back on track if I need to write something vastly different.
The depiction of the characters - at least Spock - is quite different from what I usually do. Spock has a good side helping of mirror!Spock, but I hope it will be logical in the course of the story why he's the way he is^^
Set as an 'extra scene' to Amok Time: Spock cannot sleep and goes to see Jim.
Jim has sex with Spock to save him from Pon Farr, and it breaks up his relationship with Carol. INTO DARKNESS SPOILERS!!!

This story follows on from STID, as the Enterprise sets out on her five year journey.
Jim and Spock Prime find that only with each other, can they be totally honest, even if, even with each other, they still feel somewhat lost.
Oh, and I had a feeling I'd got Idaho wrong, but I thought it was always that I thought it was Iowa, when it was actually Idaho! - until I came out of that nonsense state, and knew Iowa and Kirk went together (well, they would if Iowa was a woman, not a place!)
Somebody recently mumbled online that no one can write a decent story based on the latest Trek movie. I think that comes under the heading of waving a red flag in front of a bull. So.....
Kirk has ordered some language disks from Vulcan to help him understand his First Officer, and maybe help him seduce the Vulcan. What he finds, changes his whole approach.
A cycle of five blank verse sonnets in iambic pentameter, a slightly different approach in answering the question what Kirk and Spock are to each other.
