Sequel to All Along: Fortune. Despite his growing bond with Spock, Jim feels alone in life. The challenges he faces with his mother and Tarsus only seem to confirm this. Can Spock show him how wrong he is?
Kirk has ordered some language disks from Vulcan to help him understand his First Officer, and maybe help him seduce the Vulcan. What he finds, changes his whole approach.
Jim is heading towards a personal crisis. Their mission is vitally important: to find a new home world for the Vulcan race in the face of alien opposition. Soon it is clear that there is only one planet that will do. To secure the mysterious planet Jim must play his hand perfectly, but guilt at not having been able to save Vulcan and the responsibilities of captaining the Enterprise are wearing him down. Determined to be professional, he forces loneliness upon himself until a kiss he shares with his first officer changes everything.
"Life is short," Spock said.
Those words brought the tight feeling back to Jim's chest and he hugged Spock again. If he'd lost Spock … the idea that he might never have seen those eyes again pained him beyond belief. The excitement he felt paled in comparison to a sudden wave of raw urgency that broke over him.
Could you resist him, when he crawls towards you and just... curls around your legs? Spock definitely can not.

Spock works for Starfleet by using his telepathic abilities to dive into the culprit's mind. He's done that for years now - however, his most difficult case is only now beginning. It's been unceremoniously dropped into his lap by Admiral Pike and revolves all around the famous and young Captain Kirk.What exactly has happened in the Captain's rooms on the Enterprise? Why has there been found the body of a woman - literally torn to shreds? It'll be difficult to get information out of the Captain; and even more difficult to get them out of his staff, it seems. They're tightly knit and don't make things easy for the Vulcan.
However, Spock not only has to worry the mysterious case - he also needs to keep his wits about him in a world that just doesn't seem to have a place for him. And why - oh why - did he choose just now to fall in love?!

This story is supposed to run parallel to other stories - something that can help me get my mind back on track if I need to write something vastly different.
The depiction of the characters - at least Spock - is quite different from what I usually do. Spock has a good side helping of mirror!Spock, but I hope it will be logical in the course of the story why he's the way he is^^
As he prepares to leave Vulcan and the Federation, possibly forever, Spock reflects on his life with James T. Kirk.
This is a reponse to Samantha-Kathy's challenge (and apparently Manganra has a similar one as well): Spock Prime Raises Kirk. Spock goes through the wormhole after Nero, but the Kelvin destroys Nero and his ship, being destroyed in the process. Baby Jim is orphaned, and a mysterious Vulcan named Selik adopts him. Vulcan isn't destroyed, and Selik raises Jim there, so Jim knows more about Vulcans than many humans do. He also has some mind powers--and he joins Starfleet and meets a certain Vulcan named Spock.
Kirk gets Valentines from a mysterious and unlikely admirer.
Jim's done a lot for his crew – it's only natural that they'd want to pay him back for all that he's done for them.
MASSIVE SPOILER ALERT FOR STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS (STID). DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE.
This story follows on from STID, as the Enterprise sets out on her five year journey.
After saving the life of a Priestess on a new world, Kirk and Spock are gifted with a bond that they were neither expecting or even aware was a possibility. Together, they must deal with this new intimacy, built upon a foundation of reluctant and tentative camaraderie.
Kirk struggles to find his place in Spock’s life, while Spock comes to terms with exactly what that position is.
More chaos ensues as they continue on their 5 year mission, as is want to do. Kirk and Spock must put aside their concerns in the face of their duty to the Enterprise.
With a hasty return to the new Vulcan home world, their relationship meets it’s defining moment.
Everyone told him it was his fate, but they somehow forgot to mention that not every Universe was a fairy tale.
I wanted to write that it's a h/c story, but.. that would be a lie. It's mostly just plain old HURT. Especially hurt!Kirk.
Be warned - it's quite a dark story, so if you're not emotionally stable.. don't do this.
Also I'll be an ass and say there's a twist ending O:).

For once, Kirk and Spock are engaged in a perfectly innocent activity which just LOOKS dirty, rather than the other way round. But how to convince McCoy after they end up (rather predictably!) in sickbay? And will the good doctor be scarred for life, or is he just too jaded already to care?
Note: the original premise for the story was that Kirk and Spock are not yet a couple, and this *ahem* incident facilitated their relationship. This was never written in due to time constraints at the con and I wished to post it bona fide (i.e. exactly as I read it out, for better or for worse!). So you can interpret this situation how you want...

On an emergent recreational planet, a new park has just been built around the creation of genetically engineered Terran dinosaurs. All is going well as the park prepares to open when tragedy strikes and one of its workers is killed by a velociraptor. The founder of the park, Cyrano Jones, requests the Enterprise and specifically its Captain and First Officer to come to the park and ensure that it is safe. Also joining them is Ambassador Fox, who is concerned now with the viability of Starfleet's latest investment. When they reach the planet, all of them are amazed to discover that Jones has managed to create ACTUAL dinosaurs, but no one is without their doubts.Hold onto your phasers, it's going to be a TOS/Jurassic Park Mash Up! Each participant will be adding a new chapter every Wednesday. I hope you all will give it a shot and enjoy the story. :)

I can't get the idea of a priest Spock out of my mind so this is what I want. I want Spock as a Vulcan priest who has devoted his life to serving the temple and I want Jim to fall in love with him and do anything he can to claim what he wants.Jim as a captain realizes that Spock is wasting his life as a priest while by joining him he can serve his people in much greater ways.Of course I'm fine with anything as long as Spock is the priest and Jim falls in love with him first and tries to persuade him into a relationship. This is my first story so its not very polished and keep in mind its being written as thought of hopefully it will flow in the end.
