Part 4, in 2 chapters, in the Two lives, two deaths series. Spock and Kirk remember their first time.

Claudius Marcus' plans for an evening's entertainment don't go quite as expected.

The story takes place during the episode Bread and Circuses, set between Spock and McCoy's gladiatorial fight and Kirk's re-introduction to Drusilla. 

It was first published in the zine More Missions, More Myths 7 back in the late 80's.  Although the plot is essentially the same, I have made quite a few changes.

Also there is violence here but I didn't think it merited a warning.  Just wanted to let the reader know.

What if there is a Tribble!Kirk and Tribble!Spock amongst the vast tribbles army in the TOS episode "The Trouble with Tribbles"? Yeah, I went there.

Despite Spock Prime's warning, the Enterprise crew welcome the survivors of the S.S. Botany Bay. Khan has no memory of who he is. Kirk decides to befriend him. If given another chance at life, will Khan still revert to his dictator-like tendencies?

Meanwhile, Spock is still dating Uhura and he goes to Kirk for relationship advice.  This complicates things, as Kirk has been carrying a torch for Spock since practically the beginning of the mission.

The unexpected arrival of one of Kirk's 'old flames' puts a strain on his friendship with Spock.

Jim and Spock are already together, despite a few little hiccups, before they encountered a certain psychotic Romulan.  Then how exactly did Jim still end up marooned on Delta Vega with a much older alternate version of his boyfriend? That's a funny, sad, and complicated story.

As the highest paid diplomat in the Federation...the Vulcan Ambassador has no shortage of funds...so why is he charging expensive dinners, clothing, and even transit tickets to his own son's wedding to Jim and Spock's personal account?

Contains humor, K/S goodness and fluff and a fair amount of precious metal and gems...

I have placed this under both TOS and Nu, because no universe is alluded to inthe story and any details that would indicate a specific universe were purposefully avoided, just because I like a challenge. lol. Let me know if I pulled it off!

Canon little divergence of Tos. Spock doesn’t embark with Pike, right away, but stay as a professor in the academy for a while, and Jim like in Tos was auxiliary professor since his final year and professor after. Before his service in the USS Farragut.

Summary: Academy and early career era fic, Lt. Spock gets a mysterious Valentine every year and every year, he has no idea who send it.  Who could be the one sending Spock Valentine's for over a decade?
