This idea is based on a flier posted on my college campus about a chess club informational meeting labeled in big, bold letters: "Wanna Learn Mating Tactics?"
Jim, being Jim, goes to the informational meeting after seeing a similar flier for chess club. Altogether uninterested in playing (or maybe already knowing how to play) chess, he stays for one reason and one reason only: the intriguing half-Vulcan faculty member (or upperclassman, depending on the verse) who was reluctantly dragged into being a co-sponsor/leader of the club.
I think this has the potential to be a pretty long fic, and I'd write it if I A) had the time and B) knew where it would be going.
And yes, I do see this as being an Academy!fic, although it could probably fit if it was set on the Enterprise shortly after the movie in the Reboot!verse.
Dr. Janice Lester has switched bodies w/ Captain Kirk, only Spock knows the truth through his telepathic abilities. Everything happens as it did in the original version except, that Scotty and McCoy don't plan a mutiny. They have no physical evidence to prove Kirk isn't who he says he is, so they have no choice but to vote against Spock. Dr. Lester in Kirk's body has a change of heart towards execution of Spock and Dr. Lester, so she (as Kirk of course) decides to have them both exiled to another planet. Now they are marooned together and forced to find a way back, or do they want to go back........
Not a Pon Farr challenge, believe it or not. They fooled T'Pau the first time around, but it's pretty clear before long that Kirk didn't die on the sands of Vulcan like he was supposed to. What if she demands, by the power of Vulcan law, that they return for a rematch- a fight to the death, no tricks this time.
Bonus if they realize they can only get out of it if they bond. (Something about t'hy'la not having to kill each other, yadayada.) Yay for first-time stories!
You can set this during TOS, or find a way to fit it into the Abrams universe- I'm not picky.
When he was the "only genius level repeat offender in the Midwest" to make ends meet Jim worked as the 23rd century equivalent of a Phone sex entertainer. After taking up Pike's to do better he still peded the money and kept his old job. During this time he starts to fall for one of his clients who has a fetish to be spoken to in dirty Vulcan and calling him even after he gets a girlfriend. Eventually the client stops calling and Jim moves on. After a couple weeks of working together as captain and first officer, Jim realizes that Spock was that infamous client.
I would like a happy ending with Jim and Spock getting together.

Spock and McCoy have somehow swapped bodies. To make things worse, it just had to happen on Kirk and Spock's anniversary (the anniversary is up to your interpretation).
So like a few other fics I've seen: Vulcan is at war with Earth/Terran’s (so maybe make Vulcan’s more warrior like?)
Kirk and his crew on a mission (you choose what), get captured by the Vulcan’s and are interrogated and tortured physically and/or mentally (especially Kirk) because he has info on something (you choose, security codes or something)
Spock is still half human, so even though he's the son of Sarek (the leader?) he's not trusted and is the interrogator/torturer of Kirk and isn’t as high in rank as he should be.
Then can something happen in which the Vulcan’s decide Spock’s too dangerous and so sentence him to death (and beat him up etc?) Then have him escape with Kirk and crew and all are beamed aboard a Terran ship, welcoming Kirk and crew but Spock is thrown in the brig (despite protests from Kirk?)
You can find some way that they all work together and end the war or something and Kirk and Spock get together
Bonus points: if Jim angers Spock and Spock rapes (or nearly rapes) him when he’s being interrogated.
if someone’s injured when they escape but Spock helps them
And if they play chess while Spock’s in the brig

Prompt: some how spock gets deaged while serving on the enterprise
I love stories where Aliens Made Them Do It. I am looking for a story where Kirk and Spock are kidnapped by a slaver who is under hire from a planetary leader who has a fixation on the great Captain James Kirk and his first officer Spock. The leader wants the slaver to bring Kirk and Spock to his planet where they are suppose to put on a sex show for him. The slaver, after getting them on his ship, tells them this and says if they do not "perform" they will be sold to the Klingons or the Romulans. He tells them they have three days of traveling time to "practice" before they arrive at the planet. Oh, and there is no way for them to escape the slavers ship. So, much angst ensues while Kirk and Spock are faced with whether or not they should go ahead and "practice". They are, of course, eventually rescued (after the practicing) and taken back to the Enterprise.
Bonus points if neither Kirk nor Spock ever thought of each other in a romantic way before.
(It'll probably be best if you've seen the film, but it doesn’t matter too much) (Or if you’ve seen the Doctor Who episode ‘The Beast Below’ with the star whale)
So Kirk wakes up knowing that something’s wrong and it's the morning after' but there’s no one in his bed and he can't remember last night’s events.
So it turns out that him and Spock have being ‘getting together’ but when they first attempted to have a relationship, for some reason they decided it wouldn't work so Spock wipes Jim's and his own memories of the relationship.
Though they keep being drawn to each other and Spock keeps removing their memories every time they do. (When Spock performs a mind meld he could have left the previous memories of their past relationships and a warning to him in Jim’s subconscious or something, it's up to you)
Anyway it's up to you if you want it to have a sad or happy ending. Have fun!
Kirk and Spock are in a relationship when Spock meets some of his childhood nemesis and they proceed to make life difficult for him. Jim says something in defense of Spock, can be serious, inapporpriate, or silly but he makes it clear that Spcok has made a difference.
It can also feature other crew members to back up this view
One of the Vulcans can say that being a suborinate to a human is a disgrace
Spock clearly speaks up for himself
Jim is hopelessly in love with Spock, but he's in a seemingly committed relationship with Uhura. So Jim begins a relationship with Spock Prime, who is trying to re-capture his relationship with the Kirk of his universe.
Can end happy or sad, Kirk can end up with whoever/no one, author's choice.
Bonus points if: 1) Everyone's motives for being in their relationship (Kirk/Spock, Kirk/Spock Prime, Spock/Uhura, etc.) is revealed in a really over-the-top dramatic way (in public/with lots of eye-witnesses).
2) Kirk cries at somepoint (can be about anything).
3) Sexy-times are had (Jim-Bottom).
Spock and Uhura's relationship is coming apart fast and Spock goes to his friend/captain for help. What Spock doesn't know is Jim is already in love with him and uses the opportunity to sabotage his relationship with Uhura. Instead of helping, Jim gives him the worst ideas ever.

We all have those days where we need a good laugh or a really good cry. I propose this challenge:
Write a story (length can be however long you wish it to be) about Kirk and Spock that rips out the heart or makes us fall on the floor while blushing/laughing. Bones MUST play some role in this. Take that as you will.

I want a story were a Vulcan’s katra (soul) at the time of the Vulcans 5th birth day ether finds its perfect match and forms a bond , it creates a new soul just for the Vulcan and forms a bound or confirms the bond its partner made. The Vulcan then has a set number of years to find its mate (their katra will not tell your mate is at x location go fuck them but will give hints what kind up to the author). Kirk of course is spock’s ( spock could know just from the site of him or need a mind meld) and random villain a is tiring to get kirk because he hates spock (could be spock’s brother, could be anyone ). Must have protective and possive spock
Bouns points if you make Vulcans a little more aggressive
1 kirk is not the Captain spock is.
2 kirk is first officer (if he is also head of security , cmo, chief engineer is up to you)
3 spock is over protective of kirk (bonus points if he is in love)

I saw a behind-the-scenes ST:TOS clip recently that showed Nimoy in full costume and on the bridge set, sucking on a lollipop.
I issue the challenge in this manner:
Spock, lollipop(s), preferably non-crackfic. Go!
Kirk gets bored during an especially long, uneventful journey/travel time thingy, and decides to play crew matchmaker, starting with Sulu and Chekhov. Somewhere along the line, he falls for Spock.
'Verse doesn't matter so much. If TOS, bonus points for utilizing the yeoman-backrub scene in Kirk's attempt to woo his First Officer. If Abrmas'-verse, bonus points for Kirk's lack of verbal filter, blue jeans on the bridge, and making Spock curse, out in public as well as behind closed doors.
General bonus points if various members of the crew get caught pairing off in public places, Sarek expresses disapproval, and some sort of important transmission interrupts things.
Extra special bonus cookies if Kirk sings "Matchmaker" from Fiddler On The Roof, and at least one crew member asks him to stop or calls McCoy up to hypo him into submission.
I'd write it, but I think I'd kill it.
If anyone's up for it...I would like to see a story based on the song My Immortal by Evanescence. Preferably Spock POV hurt/comfort after Amanda's death, but can be pure angst with Kirk or Spock death. Whatever rating/characters you want. Good luck!
